First long drive

 

29th Dec 2005 - Yuvan's first long drive. We went to Larnaka to see-off Yuvan's grand parents.

Better late than never - Yuvan's Birth Announcement Card. It did miss his height, he was 50cms tall when he was born.

27th Dec - his first oil bath

 

His first oil bath. Usually he enjoys his bath, screams a bit when you take his cloths off, but once he is in the tub he'll be silent - sometimes even slept while taking bath :-) BTW don't be scared, priya is just holding Yuvan's neck for support. 

3rd week - Post after a long time

 

Yuvan's third week. All wrapped and half asleep. 

Battle for Surname

 

We had a great battle for Yuvan's Surname. According to Cypriot Law, the baby can have either his father's or mother's surname. As we don't have the surname concept in Tamilnadu, we opted for our grandfather name as surname. As this is not either of our surnames, we had to explain the tamilnadu surname concept for three hours, answering questions like "Why you want your kid to have different family name ? You don't want him in your family re?" :-) 

21st December 2005 - Peculiar way of sleeping

 

He has a habit of keeping his hand like this while sleeping. We tried to put it down, but after sometime he lifts it again :-) 

Second week - Crying for food

 

After his bath, crying for food. 

20th Dec 2005 - Second Week

 

Taken on the second week. He started looking at people moving. Also responded to sounds. 

11th day - looking confused

 

11th day - looking confused as there were lot of things going around him. 

11th day - Naming Ceremony

 

11th day - wearing a gold chain & bracelet gifted by his grandparents. He was named "Guhan G Chellapathi". He was named according to his tamil birth star Avitam. So he will have two names - Yuvan & Guhan :-) 

Sleeping comfortably in the infant carrier

 

He was sleeping comfortable in the infant carrier. We thought he is going to cry a lot because of the vaccination. But he took it nicely :-) 

9th day - first time in his infant carrier

 

9th day. We put him for the first time in the infant carrier. We took him out for BCG vaccination. 

7th day - Finally slept

 

Finally slept. This day we tried to make him sleep in the hall during the day time. Finally he got used to it.
